Eye Care Leaders is seeking a North Carolina licensed Attorney with a procurement background to work with multiple Eye Care Leaders businesses.  The Attorney will review contracts involving leases, licenses, Mergers & Acquisitions, purchases, sales, and others contracts and agreements as required.  The Attorney will participate in major legal actions with the company and its affiliates.  The person in this role will also provide counsel on employment law, and participate in negotiations. 


This position is based in our Charlotte, North Carolina office.



Eye Care Leaders is a pioneer in solutions and service offerings to healthcare providers in eye care specific markets.  We specialize in Electronic Health Records (EMR), Revenue Cycle Management Software and Practice Management (PM) software, services and training. 



  • JD in  North Carolina
  • 3-6 years of procurement and software licensing experience strongly preferred
  • HIPPA experience strongly preferred
  • Employment law experience also preferred
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects at the same time
  • Excellent judgment and ability to handle highly confidential business matters in a fair and consistent manner
  • Strong relationship management
  • Ability to think and act strategically while serving as the sole party responsible for daily tasks and activities
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills to gather appropriate facts
  • Up to 10% travel




$105 - $120 base with up to 18% bonus target, depending on experience

  • Provide legal advice to all levels of management regarding contracts, including software licensing agreements, business associate agreements (including HIPAA compliance) and other legally binding agreements.
  • Advise managers on employment related matters, and other legal issues that arise. 
  • Provide advice relating to real estate leases and similar agreements.
  • Advise senior management regarding corporate governance issues.
  • Make recommendations to senior management on how to respond to other legal issues or proposed changes in laws and regulations.
