Overview

The Director of Sales Operations will play a key role in the development and management of the Sales Operations function for Eye Care Leaders. This person will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of tools and processes to drive sales, through productivity improvement. You will work in conjunction with the Sales Management team to ensure the company’s strategic and commercial goals are met. This individual will have a proven track record of operating as part of a successful sales and marketing organization. This is a role for an experienced sales operations leader and a Salesforce.com expert. The position is primarily a Sales Operations role with a significant focus on Salesforce.com implementation, optimization, and rollout of new solutions, including Pardot, CPQ/Steelbrick, and miscellaneous interfaces and data migrations. In addition to the above, overall process improvement within the sales organization, and strong acumen in financial reporting and budgeting are required. Qualified candidates will have strong program management skills, creative problem-solving skills, financial acumen, attention to detail, and a proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and self-directed.

 

Location: Charlotte, NC corporate office preferred, but will consider remote for highly qualified candidates

Qualifications

  • Support all facets of the Sales process, focusing on business analysis, sales tools implementation, and project management.
  • Work closely with the VP of Sales and Marketing to define and track sales goals and quotas by territory and account director.
  • Track and Reconcile ECL Sales & Marketing budget
  • Responsible for overall design, implementation, communication, and administration of the sales organization's compensation program and ensure that the compensation program supports the organization's strategic objectives and meets all legal requirements.
  • Work within the sales and marketing management function of the business to monitor and measure sales performance against the plan on an ongoing basis providing regular updates to the executive stakeholders as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain sales forecast reports and dashboards.
  • Define and maintain efficient and effective sales processes from lead to sales close.
  • Manage Salesforce.com ensuring data integrity and consistency by means of tracking and measuring sales personnel compliance. 
  • Provide Salesforce.com support to the sales organization.
  • Modernize and help improve the deployment of the Salesforce.com instance across multiple locations and product lines, including the CPQ quoting tool.
  • Act as an advocate for sales operation best practices, processes, metrics, and tools developed for management of the business.

Responsibilities

  • 4-year degree.
  • 7 years’ experience in technology sales and operations management.
  • Proven and demonstrable strength in analytics and process management.
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PPT), Pardot Marketing Automation platform, Steelbrick/CPQ, and Salesforce.com Service Cloud, Salesforce.com Certification highly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of the Sales process and Sales Operations.
  • The ability to work in a high growth environment where change is constant.
  • Ability to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong intellect and business acumen.
  • An approachable and trustworthy person with sound judgment.
  • Able to communicate fluently and concisely across a range of global cultures.
  • Self -motivator and starter.
  • Experience in SaaS, Consulting Services, or Software preferred.
